These terms govern the purchase, holding, and redemption of a Casa Mente gift card. By purchasing, accepting, or redeeming a Casa Mente gift card, the purchaser and the holder agree to these terms.

1. The gift card

A Casa Mente gift card is a prepaid voucher carrying a stored monetary value, redeemable toward Casa Mente experiences. It is a multi-purpose voucher. It is not a payment card, electronic money, or a bank deposit, and it bears no interest.

2. Purchase and value

The card is issued in euro for the amount chosen at the time of purchase, within the limits shown at purchase. Its value is fixed at purchase and is not adjusted for currency movement or inflation.

3. Validity

The card is valid for 36 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is shown in the purchase confirmation.
Validity is subject to the mandatory law applicable to the holder. Where that law prohibits expiry, or requires a longer period, that law prevails and the card remains valid to the extent the law requires.​​

4. Redemption

The card is redeemed toward eligible Casa Mente experiences. Redemption is arranged privately with Casa Mente.
The value of the card is applied against the price of the chosen experience. Where the experience costs more than the card's value, the holder pays the difference. Where it costs less, the remaining value stays on the card and may be applied to a later eligible experience within the validity period.
Redemption is subject to availability and to the terms of the chosen experience, including its own dates, conditions, and cancellation terms.

5. Availability and Casa Mente's commitment

Redemption is subject to available capacity for eligible Casa Mente experiences.
If, within the validity period, no eligible experience with available capacity can be reached by the holder, Casa Mente will extend the card, at its original value, to the next eligible experience with available capacity. This commitment is binding.

6. No cash refund

Except for a valid withdrawal within the period in section 7, the card cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded, or exchanged for money, in whole or in part, and unused value is not repaid.
The value of the card is preserved through redemption and through the commitment in section 5, which together ensure the holder receives the value of the card.

 

7. Right of withdrawal

The purchaser has a 14-day right of withdrawal on the purchase of a gift card, running from the day after the purchase is made. To withdraw within that period, contact Casa Mente; any unredeemed value is refunded. The right of withdrawal does not apply once the card has been redeemed, in whole or in part. A specific dated experience arranged on redemption is subject to that experience's own terms, which may exclude cancellation. 8. Delivery

The card is delivered by email, to the recipient named at purchase or to the purchaser to give, on the date chosen at purchase. The purchaser is responsible for the accuracy of the recipient's details. Casa Mente is not responsible for delay or non-delivery caused by incorrect recipient details or by the recipient's email service, but will reasonably assist with re-sending the card where appropriate.

9. Transfer, loss, and misuse

The card may be gifted to its intended recipient and is redeemed against a named holder at the time of redemption. Each card carries a unique code and may be redeemed for its value over one or more eligible experiences until exhausted or expired. If a card code is technically faulty, Casa Mente will reissue the card or provide an equivalent replacement code. To the extent permitted by law, Casa Mente is not liable for loss, theft, or unauthorised use of a card code that has not been reported to Casa Mente.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the holder's country of residence. Nothing in these terms limits a right that mandatory law gives the holder. A consumer may bring a complaint to Forbrukertilsynet and, where it remains unresolved, to Forbrukerklageutvalget.

11. The issuer

The Casa Mente gift card is issued by Mente Projects AS, organisation number 933 665 267, Kirkeveien 51, 0368 Oslo, Norway.

12. Changes to these terms

Casa Mente may update these terms for cards purchased after the date of a change. The terms in force at the date of purchase continue to govern that card.
