This policy explains how Casa Mente collects and uses your personal data when you visit casa-mente.com, sign up to hear from us, or make an enquiry. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian law (personopplysningsloven).

 

1. Who we are

Casa Mente is a brand of Mente Projects AS, organisation number 933 665 267, Kirkeveien 51, 0368 Oslo, Norway. Mente Projects AS is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@casa-mente.com.

2. What we collect

• If you sign up to hear from us: your email address, and your first name if you give it.

• If you make an enquiry or arrange an experience: your name and contact details, and the information you provide about your enquiry or booking.

• If you pay: payment is handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.

• When you use the site: limited technical data through cookies (see section 5).

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To send you invitations and news you asked for — on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange an experience — because it is necessary to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you.

• To take payment and keep the records the law requires — to perform our agreement and to meet a legal obligation (accounting).

• To keep the site secure and working — on the basis of our legitimate interest in a safe, functioning site.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our instructions, and only as needed: our website and hosting provider (Wix) and our payment provider (Stripe). Stripe also processes some payment data as an independent controller, to meet its own anti-fraud and regulatory obligations as a payment provider. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for others' marketing.

5. Cookies

The site uses only essential cookies, which are needed for it to work, on the basis of our legitimate interest. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and the site does not track your activity for marketing.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers process personal data outside the EEA. Where Wix does so, the transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision for Israel and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for its sub-processors. Where Stripe does so, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Stripe is certified, and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. These safeguards keep your data at an equivalent level of protection.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it. We keep what you signed up for until you unsubscribe, and we keep enquiry, booking, and payment records for as long as the law requires, after which we delete or anonymise them.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, contact us at contact@casa-mente.com.

You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the site.
